So a couple of months ago I bought a brand new Poulan chain saw at
lowes. I used it to cut down a couple of small dead trees. Right out of
the box it ran like crap, hard to start etc. I figured it was because
maybe the gas was a little old I used. So today I needed to use it to
cut up a huge tree that fell down last week and took out part of my
fence and storage buidling. USAA is sending me a check for 2k for the
damages but I am not going to pay somebody to cut it up so i started on
it today. Anyway so I get started on it, for good measure used brand
new fresh gas with oil mixed, seemed to start better for a while, but
was not too long before the damn thing would run for a bit, then die,
and be very hard to start. I finally got fed up with it and quit. This
is about the same with the last couple of weed eaters I have bought, all
seem to be hard to start and take a while to get them running without
them dying. Can they not produce quality stuff right out of the box? I
assume it probably needs a simple adjustment of the carb or something.
