I've had both on the '83 240D. The 185s steer more precisely.
The 195s are more flat footed. They want to keep going in the same
direction, so steering is more like doing course corrections.
These are very small differences noticed only after long familiarity with
each tire.
Currently I use 195/(70?)R/14s on both cars since they are more widely
available with a choice of more brands. Their flat-footedness becomes
unnoticed after a while.
