My 85 needed them because there was a stop for lower arm movement. I ended up using cheapo struct compressors as they only needed a wee bit more.

Folks

How hard is it to change 123 300TD rear springs?

do i need the spring compressor?

If you like having your head attached to the rest of your body, yes.

Seriously, accidents have happened.
You don't need them for the rear springs on the W123 sedan. The fronts
