I just watched a YouTube video by Scotty Kilmer suggesting adding a gallon of lacquer thinner to half a tank of gas and some hard driving to clean the impurities from an inefficient catalytic converter. I would be concerned about damage to any rubber parts. What is Scotty's reputation among knowledgeable car enthusiasts? What do you think about this suggestion? An alternate method he recommends is washing/soaking the cat in a bucket of detergent. this requires removing it,
