Treating prostate cancer has the same outcome as not treating it, so treatment is pretty pointless unless it is somewhat advanced or a specific type. I guess his was the kind that grows and finally gets ya.

Prostate cancer is a hard way to die.
It's usually controllable or preventable
if caught early.  A simple yearly exam by a family doctor is good
insurance against a painful death.
