The newer batteries seem to have lower amp ratings, or it might depend
on where you live. The batteries I get here in SC have lower ratings
than what I got up north, the battery guy told me that is because the
amps drop in the cold, so the lower ratings might be the same as the
higher ones in warmer temps. Sorta makes sense I guess. The higher
ones probably have some more plates or something to make up for the temp
effects? So depending on where you live that might not make a huge
difference.
I see you live on Cloud 9, the Tempts are higher there!

Hello Everyone.
I am sorry if this has been covered recently but I need a replacement
battery for my 83 240D. The Interstate battery that is in it has
lasted a long time and I would like to simply replace it. However, I
find that the battery listed on the Interstate website is only 720CCA,
the old one was 850CCA. The old tired diesel needs every bit of help
getting started. Does anyone sell a battery that will fit correctly
in the car with at least 850CCA?
If this topic has been covered recently please tell me when and I will
look it up.
