I wouldn't get that worried about it. We had this happen on a water meter one time, and the utility ended up charging us an estimated amount based on our typical usage. The worst part of the whole deal was that they had been estimating for two months because it was winter and when they figured out the meter was bad we were going on 90 days of billing (most of which we had already paid due to estimating.)
I don't think it's all that uncommon, and the utility will be more than happy to walk you through what's going to happen. Dan On Jan 21, 2014, at 7:13 PM, Andrew Strasfogel wrote: > Any advice?
