Most all the New England states are weird because theres a very liberal/progressive streak with hippy enclaves here and there. In MA Amherst (right around the college of course) is very hippy centric. Then there are good ole boy rednecks with guns and big diesel trucks and whatnot which sort of balance things out. Maine I think is probably the most redneck merely because its the most big and cold. I find hippies don't do so well where it gets seriously cold, the patchouli freezes up I guess.
Vermont is one of my favorite states. When we went to the Coleman Collectors Convention in 2012 we crossed through Vermont to get to Lake George and it was depressing when we crossed the New York line, amazing difference just over the border.. -Curt Date: Tue, 28 Jan 2014 00:44:31 -0600 From: Fmiser <fmi...@gmail.com> To: mercedes@okiebenz.com Subject: Re: [MBZ] Nebraska or North East? was - 123 steering wheel (some cat content) Message-ID: <20140128004431.26084...@jasper.condray.lan> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII > Mountain wrote: > > I need to live in NE. However, if you live - or even visit - in Nebraska and don't display some evidence of supporting the Cornhuskers football team your life _may_ be at risk. Or do you mean the North East? Vermont is pretty good, I hear. New Hampshire is lopsided like Illinois but it's Boston "suburbs" that muck up it's politics. Maine seems okay. The rest I don't know enough about to comment. -- Philip, who doesn't like un-referenced abbreviations. _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
