Thin on the ground?
As in there aren't any. Even Rusty had never heard of a 115.115-50- chassis number.
I typically got 28 mpg in our '72 220D/8. I drove one trip ... 36.6 mpg.
Well, I typically got 30, so maybe I could have hit 40 on a long road trip?
I am sure she will gladly give her parts to another...
If I have my druthers it'll be back on the road. The claim adjustor hasn't seen it yet. I will accept full repair to pre-crash conditions, an equivalent 115 car in as-good-as, or better condition, or cash equivalent of either. (Cash will probably turn into a Smaug pile in the living room, a few fun sessions with the BFH, and an even rattier 'heap back on the road.)
I know of a really nice w115 body at a scrap yard. Should be easy to stuff onto the Mog and then drop the Heap engine
Interesting... (Though the Mog is not mobile.) I guess I would also accept an engine-free good carcass, and an engine swap paid for somehow. Details on carcass? I was unable to get the 560SEL started. Just intermittent coughing, ether did not change anything so I suspect spark. I dug out the wife's 560SL instead. I _hate_ driving that in the crap, but I'm planning to be extra-careful for now. Both cars have summer tires on them... -- Jim _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
