Heard about a place in Pa that specializes in rebuilding the big batteries and gauranteeing them. Couldn't find any reference on the mpg if the battery / electric motor is not working.
His wouldn't start, the computer wouldn't run the motor if the battery reported a malfunction. There might be a workaround, but he is a smart guy (although, not mechanical) and didn't find anything he thought was likely to work reliably. He begged the Honda people to let him just replace the battery but they insisted battery and controller were matched. At that point they knew he wasn't going to buy the whole package so they weren't just insisting to make more money - they'd have done better to let him try it! I did offer to help him rebuild the battery packs to see if that helped. _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
