Actually, the venue is one of the nicest outdoor amphitheaters in the area, which just happens to be on the property of the State Fairgrounds. Used to be the "1-800-"Axe"-Gary" Amphitheater, believe it or not (I'm doing that phonetically so readers can appreciate the true flavor of the name.) Can't say they were in a hurry to renew that contract, I'll bet.
That being said, you know things have tanked badly when bands start playing the fair circuits. A lot of the "Seals and Crofts featuring Seals from the original band" seem to hit the road when people get hard up for cash.
