[MBZ] OT: Buying a car in WA

Is it necessary to have a temporary permit to drive a newly-purchased
car home, in WA?  In MI, where I used to live, it's legal to drive
without a plate to the "first place of storage," but I can't find any
info on whether that's legal here.
