Meh. It's going to a trusted indie this afternoon. I don't really care to do AC work, and this way it's done right without screwing anything up in the process.
The first time in probably 4-5 years I've had to defer to an outside mechanic, so I can't complain. The important thing is to know your limits....thanks to everyone for their suggestions and guidance.
