With Windows you still need drivers sometimes, OSX is much better about that. Of course nerds will turn it off and use different disk modes, but the default sounds like exactly what Andrew wants to happen, so hopefully it was really easy. :) On the way of BTDT, I sync my pictures with Flickr, which (at the moment, I think) has unlimited personal storage. If I think I want to get something, I just go there rather than the phone. I don't recall whether it does video though.
