Thanks, I appreciate that. Some LED lights arrived from China yesterday, and more should be arriving soon. I need the sockets to finish putting the lights together. I got all the power lines run and the boxes installed, so once the sockets and bulbs all appear I can finish them. I also purchased a kit of chemicals that reportedly give various effects when applied to copper, maybe I will do some experimenting today since it is pouring rain and that would be a good mellow exercise.

Working with the copper is quite fun and it looks really nice. I will need to develop some more skills in that regard. There is a couple on Wadmalaw Island I visited who are making some really nice copper light fixtures. Turns out they both lost their jobs a few years back and took up making things in their garage, now they are supplying a lot of very high-end customers. Nice to see a hard-working family succeed in a new business making quality stuff.

In other good news my range top and hood arrived Th night, and I got them put in yesterday. The rangetop has enough output to launch into orbit, and it turns out the specs on line for it say it needed a 1/2" gas line, which I ran and got the tank installed last week. Turns out it needs a 3/4" line per the specs listed on the as-built sheet, so I guess I will have to replace the new line. Don't know if the propane tank needs a different line and regulator. ugh.

And I got a new mini-split installed and running Friday to replace the ancient heat pump that died just before last week's cold weather, so now the house is nice and warm on this 70F day.

Stone can go in now with the range top in, so that is exciting too. New power line and septic system will have us in the new kitchen for Christmas!

Progress!

Rich, I woke up sometime during the night and realized I had not given you a
proper ATTABOY for your recent lighting project.

So here is a much-deserved and belated ATTABOY! for the project and another one
for its presentation to the list and posterity. I plan to read, peruse and
enjoy the presentation again.

Thanks.
