While out yesterday I stopped and grabbed some diesel-anti gel since the fuel in the car is doubtless at least a couple months old. It said 8oz would treat 25 gallons, I put in 10 to be sure. I also grabbed 2 gallons (they were on sale) of Rain-X orange which claims to be good to -25F which is the coldest we'll see here. -Curt From: Curly McLain via Mercedes <mercedes@okiebenz.com> To: Dwight Giles <dwight.gi...@gmail.com>; Mercedes Discussion List <mercedes@okiebenz.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 6, 2015 11:08 AM Subject: Re: [MBZ] 190D back to legal again Attaboy!
When i returned to the land of ice and snow Sunday, the washers had frozen up in the van. SInce it will sit for quite some time, they will stay frozen. I have noticed that the crappy blue juice started out as good to 20 below 40 years ago, then was good to 0, then to maybe 20. The last I looked at had no antifreeeze claim whatsoever. THey just take water, add some blue food color to it, and bottle it and sell water for $1.50/jug. A lot of the "antifreeze" is methanol, so if it sits a few months, the methanol evaporates and you end up with water anyway. _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com All posts are the result of individual contributors and as such, those individuals are responsible for the content of the post.
