I've had a couple of these in the past, and in my case as long as there was no defect, I just told them I was sorry they were disappointed and that the car was sold as-is and represented as best as it could possibly be to the best of my knowledge.
I understand your concerns, but sometimes you just have to cut people off or they'll bug you for every little thing they come across. This is especially important if they chose not to do a PPI.
