Interesting. My brother's 78 300D that I've been driving for about a week now (needs a couple of things, and I seem to fix what I'm driving) turned in 351.6 miles on 13.8 gallons (roughly 25.5 mpg). I usually cruise it at 75. And no, it's not in great running shape either - it goes through a quart every 1500ish. Sadly enough, that's roughly what the 87 300TD usually gives me. K
