Heres the thing, nobody ever does follow up checks on weather forecasters so 
they're actually in a state where its to their advantage to up their 
predictions. "You're so screwed. How screwed are you? Find out at 11."
TV news has one job and one job only, to keep your eyeballs glued to that TV 
screen because more viewers is more ratings and more ratings is mo money. Shut 
off your TV, thats the only way to break the cycle of fear.
I was talking about how safe a place we live in last week when Angie's 
grandfather rolled out "You know how many murders there were in Worcester last 
month? 47." Worcester has 182,000 people so 47 murders is statistically zero. 
We live in a super safe country at a super safe time but TV news makes people 
scared by harping on every single death to the point where you mind thinks 
Trevon Martin died 15 times...

They are really going out on a limb here, assuming a major storm WILL
develop based on modeling predictions.  Wouldn't it be embasrrassing if the
storm weakens, zooms out to sea, or doesn't form to begin with.
