If broken springs are common on ANY model, it's a big mfgr/designer screw up! I'm nearly 81 and attentive; only recently have I heard of so many broken springs.

yabbut, if they are spring in a day, how good are they? Or are these online ones a chinee knockoff?

and if broken springs are common on a 140, that seems like a MFG or design problem.

Lesjofors are supposed to be OE, I believe.

I have a set of them waiting to be put on the back of the S500. I was planning on checking spring heights when I had them both off the car. If I find minimal distance between new and old I'll return them and buy from the dealer.

For what it's worth, the aftermarket Lesjofers are about half the price of Mercedes springs.

I'd call PGA, get a set of used springs, or get new from the dealer.

Would have received a one year warranty if I'd bought dealer springs.
I would not touch a used W140 front spring with a ten foot pole.
My S420 and Dan's aren't the only ones that were running around with broken
 front springs.
