Worse the Nook HD+ require 5.1v charging which most chargers won't do. I haven't found a 12v charger yet that will work with mine.

The aftermarket ones are very poor quality too. The Kindle charging port is a tad bit shorter than standard, but Kindle chargers work ok with phones, and vice-versa. The Nook and perhaps Kindle too require a bit more power than the standard 500 milliwatts, so sometimes don't charge readily unless the charger has more output. A lot of complaints by owners over the difference and how it won't work with standard cables.
