My driving to and from Albuquerque for class this summer has been
complicated by turn signals not working when it is hot (they have
worked just fine first thing in the morning when it is cool).
I took the console apart, took out the flasher (which is electronic) and
put Deoxit D100 contact cleaner on its socket pins and reinstalled.
I then took the emergency flasher switch in the house and, with it mostly
inside a Zip-Loc bag, disassembled it. It was dirty inside. I cleaned it
up, put on Deoxit D100, reassembled it, and took it back to the car.
The turn signals and emergency flasher functions seem more solid, but
the real test will be when it's hot. I am going grocery shopping this
afternoon (Shirley is unable since she fell and fractured her pelvis a
month ago), so I should have a good test.
