When I was a kid I always heard "PG" as in "I think she's PG" and had no idea what it meant, which is why I guess the grownups used the term. I finally figured it out and asked my dad why he said "PG" and not "pregnant" and he got all embarrassed. Like the proper term was somehow nasty or dirty or something. And it was always said in a somewhat low knowing conspiratorial tone, like it was dirty talk or something. No idea where it comes from, maybe some medical term or something?

OMG I just figured it out -- the Baptists just knew someone was "doing it"!!!!

--R (whose parents, coming from the Baptist persuasion, probably only "did it" once, for procreational purposes only, as I have no siblings)

Yep when I was a kid, PG was the terminology.
