Here is what I do:

Both guide rod bushings/bearings
New lower ball joints (special press required)
New idler arm 
New center drag link
New left and right outer tie rod assemblies
New shocks
New steering damper
Reseal PS box if needed. 

I have found that the front end last about 120k miles.

What exactly does that entail?  Is there a good writeup on the whole
job anywhere?  Is it something I can do myself in my garage (no lift
but a good floor jack and stands).  Any esoteric tool requirements?
