I paid $225 for a Safelite windshield in the Golf. The guy vacuumed the front 
of the car, washed all the windows and even polished the front side windows 
that had some gunk on them... Totally worth it.

You do realize that an OE windshield with the glazing and everything is under 
$300 from the dealer, don’t you?

You need to weigh the safety aspect with the money.  Sometimes it’s not smart 
to go cheap.
