I bought one from HF because it was less than $20, figuring I would
need it some day. Also bought several name brand blades, but they
didn't fit.
Which blades did you use for cutting the muffler?

I'd use a 24 tooth
You can use a 16 tooth, but it may grab worse if the metal is thin.
