I don't know and I'm too tired/sore (cut up a scrap snowmobile trailer today)
to go find my "For the Complet idiot" book. I think that sounds vaugely right.
The engine is only a relative cousin to the upright engine in the Beetle
anyway, more like the pancake engine in the Type 3. I *think* the Type 4 engine
is the same as in the late bus.

The seats do look a tad MBish. Is the engine that is in this similar to the one
in Porsche 912s? I had a friend back in the day claimed he had a 912 engine in
