The easiest way to tell is if it has the S/W switch by the shifter
it is electronic, if it does not, it is old fashioned.

IIRC it was you who told me the code on my 1997 indicated the connector on the
outside of the trans.
My trans computer was dry, I replaced the $10 connector, and all was fine after
clearing the codes.
