Wrong - "fiberglass chassis and underbody structure, along with a
brushed stainless
steel <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stainless_steel> body" and "The engine
is a Peugeot-Renault-Volvo (PRV) 2.85 litre V6
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V6> which was designed and built under
special contract with the DMC Company. These PRV engines
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PRV_engine> were a development of the 2.7
litre V6 in the Renault 30 <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_30>, and
were built in the PRV Factory in Douvrin
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douvrin>, Northern France. The gearbox, also
designed by PRV, was built at the Renault facility near Caen
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caen> in Normandy."

The guy three hangars north of me has one - he says it has the typical
English electrical system and crap drive train. Other than that, it is cool
looking.

"The original Ducellier alternator
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alternator_(auto)> supplied with the early
production DMC-12s could not provide enough current to supply the car when
all lights and electrical options were on; as a result, the battery
<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battery_(electricity)> would gradually
discharge, leaving the driver stranded on the road."
