Too bad you didn't have a camera. You coulda taken pictures of him
taking pictures of you. (and his license plate)
My road is a 4 lane, divided. It is about 3 miles long before the
wealthy gated communities of Kiawah and Seabrook. Lots of workers
and residents and visitors go there. so lot of easy exposure. No
other signs much of anywhere on this island. There were 3 out front
in the median, I pulled them up and put them in the trash while I
was picking up other trash along the road.
Some guy pulls off to the side, right before my driveway and was
sitting there watching me, taking pics I think. I had driven my
truck up to the end of the drive to carry some sheetrock scraps to
the barrel, so after I got those unloaded I got in the truck and
headed up the road to get some more signs, the guy follows me. I
pulled in the median up the road and got out and pulled up a sign,
this guy pulls right behind me and was taking pics. So I waved, got
back in the truck and went back. Pulled in the driveway, remembered
to get the mail, this guy pulls over right next to me in front of my
driveway, and takes my picture again. I yelled at him but he took
off. Pretty funny, he must have been some kind of campaign droid or
something. He looked kinda like a Bernie supporter but was driving
a nice-ish smaller SUV.
My friend who is a county councilwoman and lawyer says she will
defend me in court if anyone pushes it, as it is illegal to post ANY
signs in the road ROWs, $1054 fine per violation. I hope the guy
tries to pursue it.
