Apparently this IS a 70V system already. I measured 7.5 ohm
resistance on the Bogen SPT 15A speaker; But according the specs
tab on this, it IS a 70V speaker. So the speakers and amp must be
right.

We still have the problem of popping Ps and blowing out the larger
bogen SPT30A.

This is a problem if it is wired 8 ohm. If it is a 70 V
distribution, it's fine.

The plan so far:
1 replace all wires from amp to pole 3
2. wire speakers 3 and 4 from speaker 2, not from an
underground splice. 3. Tie up wires above speakers so that
there is a drip loop to prevent water from running down
inside the sheathing.
What other suggestions do y'all have?
Grease all the connections at the junction boxes. Wire nuts
are okay, but slather on the wheel bearing grease.
My questions? Should the u shaped underground conduit runs
be drilled to drain water, or sealed to prevent water
entry, or extended above ground so that water can't
enter?
I would try to seal it - but still leave a drain hole 'cause
some water will someday get in. If the drain hole can become
a fill-from-the-bottom hole, I'd sure try to get the box up
higher.
