Sorry for the slow reply but I had to do some research.
Back in 2010 I bought these:

The challenge with them was getting the polarity correct but once I established
that it was no problem.

Which ones did you get and where? I tried some about 3 years ago
from Autozone that were worse then the original bulbs.
