Verizon got bought out by Frontier in my area a few years ago. I do not have
FIOS available, so I have ADSL. I have had no complaints.

When I have had to deal with tech related customer service, it is based in the
good old US of A, staffed with intelligent, articulate people. I had my
internet go out last week, for a few hours, as a matter of fact. ‎I thought it
was fixed while I was at work, and a field tech showed up a few days later to
follow up. He had called first to let me know he was coming. No sooner did he
leave, and my Internet crapped out again. I called him up on the number from
the caller ID and he came back, checked the lines, then went and reset
something at the central office. He said if I had any more issues with it, to
call him on his work phone, and he would see to it that it would be fixed. He
even called back the following day to reaffirm my ADSL was working properly.

I am sorry you are having problems in your switch to Frontier. In my area, they
are great.
