Should be BEFORE the trap! After the trap can allow some BAD stuff to enter the dishwasher.

More on this drain hose routing. It appears it should have a high loop to prevent back draining I guess, so that's fine. What is a concern now to me is the way it is plumbed into the drain pipe. They have it connected to the pipe after the trap, not before it on the sink side. We do not have a garbage disposal which is where they normally attach to.

Possible. One think I do notice is the drain line comes out of the dishwasher loops up and back down by design on the side of it by design. From there it's ran back up over the counter into the under sink counter to drain. It runs over the top of the divide between the 2. I wonder if this could be an issue and if a hole needs to be cut in the side so the house can come straight thru instead of up and over. I am going to get some of that dishwasher magic cleaner and run it thru first and see what happens and may even relocate the drain line before installing the Bosch. I should be able to return it since it's still in the box. At the very least I want to attempt to figure out the problem even if I do keep the Bosch so I can use it at our other house.

Sorry about the Drano suggestion, might be too harsh. Mine has no stainless inside, all heavy plastic or coated plastic, or some such material. Is there any way to put extra water pressure into the pump to help flush it out? And also put some extra flush pressure on you drain lines? The drain lines may be backing up when full draining causing material to compact inside the large pump, hence negatively affecting it. If so, a new DW will eventually be affected by the same issue.
Again, good luck,
Roger
