Were there ANY "euro turbos" in the 1970s?
I don't think the W116 300SD turbo was sold in Europe, nor do I
think any of the Euro 123s or 201s were turbocharged.
And the only OM616 turbo engine I know of is made in India.
I believe that some of the Callaway 240Ds were dealer installations,
and I think there were one or two other aftermarket turbos for the
240D.

There were two companies making turbo kits for MB 240D in 115 and
123. After the OM617 turbo 300D cam out in 1982(?) the market dies
off as most folks bought the 300D if they wanted a turbo.
One used airResearch (Garret) and the other used a different brand!
