Bioguys,
I conducted a small experiment on the clouded bio in my tank. I drew a
small sample and mixed it with some #2 diesel to form B80, and left it out
overnight in mid-20s temps. Next morning, the fuel had separated with the #2
diesel layer on top and the clouded biodiesel on the bottom. It would thus
appear that the B80 mix might flow acceptably after sloshed around in the tank
but if left to settle overnight, the bio might clog the filters in the morning.
Thanks,
Bruce

I'm *not* a fan of Monark plugs. The one set I got a few years ago
didn't last long, and I wasn't running afterglow at the time, either.
I'd have to double-check my records, but I think I lost 2 of 6 plugs
within 3 years and 30kmi... an embarassingly short life span.
I'm not crazy about some Bosch items that are made off-shore, but in
general, I still think Bosch makes decent stuff and should be prety
close to Beru. I wouldn't touch Autolite, but I'd take a Bosch over
Monark any day. I currently have Bosch Duraterm Chromium in my 603
(special import from Europe - dunno why they won't sell them in the
USA), but used the plain ol' Bosch #80006 for my dad's 603 and my old
617 with good results. I've also done the full factory afterglow setup
on my 603, with the 60-second maximum afterglow, not the later
180-second max (which I think is a bit excessive).
For stuff like oil fiters, though, I'd rather avoid Bosch. In their
defense, my buddy just picked up a Bosch oil filter for his VW diesel
and it was "Made in Germany"! I was quite surprised, I was expecting
it to be Hecho in Zimbabwe or something...
:-)
