I still haven't done the flex disks on my 126 300SD, in part because I needed the center bearing parts.
I ordered these parts from FCP Euro and here's what I got: * The bearing is FAG (Korea) which is good stuff IMO * The driveshaft boot is Rein (as listed on the FCP site) made in Italy, looks OK but not a critical part I ordered two driveshaft supports because I was unsure of the quality: * The Rein part came in a box marked made in India, 2015. The rubber is stamped with the old MBZ part number (126 410 0181) where something else appears to have been ground off. The flat rubber face appears to have surface cracks and the rubber feels "dry." This one was about $10. * The Meyle part came in a bag with a Made in China sticker. But the rubber is stamped MEYLE-Germany and it is stamped with the new part number (014 041 0042). It appears to have some kind of coating (paint?) on the flat rubber surface. It too has "surface cracks" which appear to be only in the coating and the rubber feels more "live" under the coating. This one was about $20. I'm inclined to go with the Meyle part at this point. Or maybe I should get OE for about $100? _______________________________________ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
