I lived through Hazel on McMahan Island, Maine. Wind gusts in the 5os and trees down everywhere. That was a memorable family vacation. We nearly lost our border collie. Icy cold water. Seals and sea urchins. Sailing. Took the train up from NYC to Boothbay Harbor.
