As I was making storm preps the other day, I tripped on this piece of something hard on the ground. We have no rocks here, so finding a rock on the surface of the ground is unusual. Plus it was in a place that I have walked over many times without seeing it. It was also right on top of leaves and such. I picked it up and it was quite heavy for its size, dense, and somewhat rusty and had a spongy appearance. I speculate that it might be a recently-arrived Visitor From Outer Space. I suppose I could find a geology type at one of the local institutes of higher learning and get an opinion.
