Its maybe payment for not doing that.
We are also working on downsizing. I'd thought that having a small house would
limit our accumulation of crap but I appear to be wrong. Last year we got an
upright freezer and to make space for it we had to take an entire pickup truck
load of stuff to charity. This year we had the floor in our kitchen refinished
and filled our enclosed porch with the stuff that was in the kitchen, 4 months
later the porch is still half full of stuff that needs to go to charity,
another pickup load anyway. I'm slowly weeding through it, each time I make a
pass I'm more brutal, if I haven't cared about it enough to bring it off the
porch in 4 months I probably don't need it.
Speaking of which the easel that hasn't been used in 10 years could probably be
kindling...
