Might be as easy as adjusting the clutch tighter?

My 124 cars are smart enough that moving the switch the wrong way won't Bork 
the sunroof.  Either it has broken lift levers in the tilt mechanism, the 
clutch needs adjusting, or a seal has slipped and is jamming it.
