On a gasser it should be basically no big deal. Chase the wires from the 
switch, you'll need "on" and "start" and "ground". 
Start shouldn't be hot unless on and the neutral safety switch both are but 
it'd be worth testing that before you really trust it.
Loads of people stupider than you and I do this all the time. I bet most every 
stereo shop sells remote starters.If it were a diesel it might be a challenge 
but not on a gasser...

SWMBA has decided that #1 boy needs remote start in his '92 300SE.  He did some 
minimal research and thinks there is no way to get this done.  The car is in 
ND, he thinks only a stealership could tackle this.  Anybody think there is a 
way for a remote start to be made possible in an early w140?  What would need 
to be done?
