Threshold on the door into the garage from the house is rapidly deteriorating. It has a weird plastic part that is unlike lots of thresholds where you can replace the plastic or rubber part. This one wraps around the interior side of the threshold and is sort of hard plastic. Definitely the original threshold, so it's held up well considering the house is approaching 20 years old.
So I get ahold of Frost King, who is the manufacturer of the threshold. "Can the insert on the Model XXX threshold be replaced?" "No, the whole threshold must be replaced." Holy mother of pearl. This thing is literally built into the door frame and under all the casing. Getting it out is going to be a major PITA. Planned obsolescence, I say.
