I've not heard of that on an OM60x pump. Congrats! You got the oddball
problem thins time instead of me! I am VERY happy about that.

This is the under side of the #3 delivery valve. Note the damage at 12
o'clock. I've replaced this with a used delivery valve from the
original (dead) injection pump.
#3 cylinder had a persistent knock that I could stop by cracking that
injection line, which now seems to be gone.
