Professional AC repair is a racket. Quickie flush, replacement compressor, test refrigerant, and an inline filter on the suction side and it should be good to go. What, $200 DIY? Windows are usually not horribly expensive to fix. Either a used regulator, or a new sliding jaw. Unless it's electrical, in which case a can of DeOxIt and a new fuse or two isn't that expensive.
