That does seem high. But, the CDs are going for crazy money recently. I was at an auction last year and an 83 CD with 230,000 miles went for $7500. But, it was in spectacular condition and had 3 binders of receipts and records that showed the owner was beyond meticulous about maintenance. The engine bay was spotless but was not covered in armor all. It was that butter yellow color with the saddle tan interior.
