I was hired by Progressive Insurance to defend a MB versus horse case several
years ago. It was an ML. The owner/rider was walking it across the street
from the arena where they held a barrel racing competition. It was at night
and not well lit. The horse was very dark brown and the ML came around a
corner and hit the horse. It was injured but did not have to be put down.
But, it was never going to barrel race again. It was a bad deal because there
was a lot of fault to go around. The horse was a previous barrel racing
national champion. Working on that case introduced me to a whole new world.
It is amazing how much money is spent on horses and barrel racing!

By the way, the ML took the hit and kept on ticking. It need some minor
bodywork, but nothing terrible.

Winston Churchill:
“Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or
petty, never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense.
Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the
enemy.”
