When I faced this problem with my 124 Cab, the 3 screws you reference are
covered by metal; you cannot simply unscrew them until you open up the
whole assembly.  It is a Chinese puzzle, and the only way to get it apart
was by cutting if one could not turn the ignition cylinder to position #1.
I cut through metal at the point just below the screw heads, so that the
electrical switch could be pulled off the mechanical part.

The good news is that the only piece of metal that is super hard is the
plate over the face of the tumbler, which is the part that you would have
to drill to remove the tumbler. The rest of the lock assembly is soft mild
steel, and a sawz-all or dremel tool will make short work of it.
