Dan, Was that for Todd Shipyards? I flew a jet acting as a cruise missile target for many of those qualification tests out of Todd Shipyards. Started about 200 miles out and flew at the ship. They seemed to like it when we made passes over them at about mast height. :-) Regards, Addison

We worked on initial qualification sea trials on the beginnings of the Phalanx with Raytheon. In this case they were on a pallet with their own power supply (our stuff) and testing took place in the Pacific off San Diego.
