couple of months ago I did the same thing to the W140 (no son to blame!).

Tires were fair, wheels were fair to poor and found out that the PO
had 8" on the rear and 7.5" on the frt. So, I was already making plans
to start over.

For about 800 bucks, TR sold me 4 new knock-off wheels and 4 Kuhmo
Tires, mounted and balanced. Drop shipped to the  local MB dealer in 2
days and I was back on the road. Luckily, I had no body or suspension
damage.

It has been a perfect installation and have been extremely happy with
no need to take it back for adjustments.

Yes, I do have a set of lugs for the spare tucked away but at least
all 4 wheels are now of the same variety.

If you're going used, be sure to get the right offset. The 8 holes
where used on the W140 and the C class as well.
